I started photography learning on a 4x5 film field camera, the ones with the dark cloth and everything shows upside down and backwards! Yes, those things do still exist. It was a banner day to just be able to set the camera up without looking, considering there were 13 steps to it.
Another banner day was when we switched to 6x7 film, and then the biggest banner was when digital cameras came into our lives!
My husband taught me photography shortly after we were married, he was a professional photographer for a number of years already. We have traveled all over the United States shooting national parks, and creation's beautiful things in general.
It is always a joy to see something and be able to share it in an image. It is also always a little sad, when it doesn't really capture the thrill that you had when you were there! All we can do is keep trying to capture those emotions. Those emotions of when you see something so beautiful that it takes your breath away. I always want to share that with someone else, and photography does that for me.
I hope that you can also feel some of those emotions, through my images. That would be another great day for me.
